Privacy Policy — Hidâyet
Last updated: 23 September 2026
No account, no personal data
Hidâyet does not ask you to sign in and does not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number or contacts. Your tasbih counts, bookmarks and settings stay on your device.
Location (optional, never leaves your device)
Prayer times and the qibla direction are calculated from a location. By default you pick a city from a list and no location permission is requested at all.
If you tap "Use device location" in Settings, the app asks for location permission and reads your current coordinates once. Those coordinates are stored only on your device and used for the calculation; they are not sent to us or anywhere else. You can switch back to choosing a city, and you may revoke the permission at any time in your system settings.
Notifications
If you enable prayer time reminders, the notifications are scheduled on your device, using the device's alarm and notification permissions. Notifications are not pushed from a server, so we do not need to hold any of your data for you to receive them.
What leaves your device
The app periodically downloads its content (prayers, names, lessons) from our server. These are ordinary download requests; we do not attach an identifier to them.
If you send feedback from within the app, we receive the message you wrote and, only if you fill them in, the name and e-mail address you provided, plus the device model and app version so that we can reproduce the problem.
The app may send anonymous usage counters (for example how many times a screen was opened). These counters contain no identifier and cannot be traced back to a person or a device.
What we do not do
No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no profiling, no sale or sharing of data with third parties. We do not access your camera, microphone or contacts.
Storage and deletion
Feedback messages are kept on our own server in Germany and deleted once handled. You may request deletion at any time at bilgi@sanater.com.
